Albumprinter
(Amsterdam) offers personalized photo books to consumers on-line. The
company's success formula allows consumers to mount their own digital
photographs in personalized photo books using user-friendly offline
client software. This software package is offered as well through
intermediaries such as retailers or photo finishers that offer the
Albumprinter concept under private label.
Albumprinter,
which was founded in 2001, developed the software and the production
methods. The concept was a resounding success from the start and
Albumprinter soon became the absolute market leader in this new
segment. Two years in a row, ‘PC Magazine’ awarded the software and the
resulting photo books their ‘Best Product’ accolade. Albumprinter
currently employs 50 people and is growing at a spectacular rate.
Albumprinter
began licensing its software internationally to retail chains and photo
finishers at the beginning of 2005. Partners in more than 20 countries
in Europe, USA and Asia now use Albumprinter software. The level of
product acceptance and growth forecasts is impressive. Worldwide
licensing has been identified as a primary source of growth, along with
additions to the product range such as calendars, posters, Christmas
cards, yearbooks for schools and associations.

Software Engineer Ria / Flex
The RIA / Adobe Flex software engineer designs, develops and proactively improves
Albumprinter’s rich internet applications being used online and on various operating
systems by millions of consumers. Work in an IT subteam for RIA development with 4
colleagues, in an IT environment of 25 professionals with a lot of room for taking
initiative, knowledge sharing and developing your own skills.
This position is based in Amsterdam and reports to the CTO.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Develop thrilling user interfaces
- Work together with designers
- Innovation of client software used by millions of consumers
- Software modelling and design, use and apply design patterns
- Be involved in back-end changes required for the RIA
- Have a quality approach including unit testing, logging, inline documentation, etc.
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and developments
- Write supporting documentation and manuals
- Be involved in rollout and support
- Prevent and resolve operational emergencies
Profile of the ideal candidate
- You are a software development professional

- BS or Masters in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- 2+ years of experience with Java and/or OO software development
Key skills
- Familiar with the concepts of Adobe’s technology stack

- Affinity with user experience and interaction design

Perform
a lead role in the design and development of software for the
AlbumPrinter product suite. Transform business objectives to technical

Job purpose
The
Product Owner is part of the Product Owner team and responsible for
managing and developing the physical products that Albumprinter
produces. The ultimate goal is to “wow” our customers with great
looking products.
The team and position in the organisation
From

Doel van de functie:
Het support van een MicroSoft Windows omgeving based in diversen Colocaties binnen Nederland en
in het buitenland. Dit voor core en noncore systemen en netweken.
Hierbij ligt de nadruk op de support en ontwikkeling van de productie omgeving.
Algemene werkzaamheden:
- Mede ontwikkelen en implementeren van nieuwe infrastructuur en software oplossingen.

- Installeren en controleren van systeem toegang en beveiliging
